I'm just a girl...trying to find my place in this world. Oh, I'm sorry. That's a Taylor Swift song.
I never know what to write "about me". I don't really like to talk "about me". But here are 10 random facts...just in case you are ever caught in a game of Abby Trivia:
1) I love Jesus. I would be nothing without Him and when I think of how big He is and how small I am it makes me want to cry. I can't believe He cares about me...but He does...and I'm so grateful.
2) I have an incredible family. Sweet parents, four awesome sisters & the best brother in the world. Sometimes I think it's cheesy and embarrassing that they are my best friends but they really really are. They are HYSTERICAL...and they love me when I don't deserve it. I'd rather hang out with them than anyone on Earth.
3) I absolutely love my job...and I'm not just saying that. I work at a camp & conference center. I get to communicate and build relationships and organize things. My co-workers are like family and I wear jeans and flip flops most days.
4) I'm overcommitted. I volunteer for everything. If I have free time at all I feel crazy so I fill my days with party planning and teaching kids and fundraisers and meetings.
5) I'm a simple, small town type girl. No big city lights for me please. I'll take stars and trees over malls any day.
6) I'm single...and somewhat independent (hence the blog title). I never want to be a burden on anyone so I try to do everything myself. This usually results in me getting large pieces of furniture jammed in doorways before calling for help.
7) I'm horrible at math...and cooking...and flirting...and goodbyes.
8) I love babies. I'm afraid that when I get married I'm going to be that crazy lady with a ton of kids in the store wearing boots and fairy wings. I secretly hope I am that lady one day.
9) If I could I would drink 12 Dr. Peppers a day, sleep until 11am, and never wear shoes.
10) I don't have a life plan. I love where I am. I don't know where I'm headed. God has that plan right? So I'll just keep checking in with Him.
